I'm currently in NYC right now with the whole team for the Fall 2011 shoe show. There is snow!! It has been inconvenient at times, like trying to hail a cab when everyone else is already in one, or when crossing the street and accidently stepping in a puddle of ankle high icy slush water. ick. But it's still exciting to see the sidewalks and park covered in snow!! This Zara puff jacket has saved my life from the freezing cold and ive now grown to love it!

Tommorow i'm off again to Miami, New York then the Bay Area. It's time to wrap up Fall and start coming up with concepts & designs for Spring 2012. So for now its goodbye Hollywood see you again soon!

Some of these photos may be a little repetitive but I love them all for their own reason so it was hard for me to cut. 

ps. if you are ever visiting Los Angeles I recommend going here to Sunset Ranch its so gorgeous. You can take pictures with a view of the Hollywood sign as your backdrop and if you want they have horses there that you can ride up to the Hollywood sign. Its definitely on my list of things to do.

These are the 1st part of the photos we took while Savanah was in LA. Originally the plan was to go to Griffith park but we got all kinds of lost as per usual and it became a race against the sun. Eventually we just started going up a random road towards the hills and by a lucky accident we landed at Sunset Ranch just as the sun was about to set! 

I'm wearing a Paisley Ralph Lauren dress my aunt gave me while I was in highschool. I've never worn it before but now its really growing on me! I'm also wearing a vintage fur bomber, All Saints studded shoes, and feather earrings from Oregon that I got as a gift. Savanah is wearing an Elizabeth and James maroon shaw, Vintage Levi shorts, and fox fur cuffs.

blast to the past

When I was in highschool my friends and I used to always stage photoshoots. We would go to the park, river, pool, even my parents bathtub it was one of our favorite past times. When you live in the suburbs you have to come up with activities to keep you entertained. Photography was one of my favorite classes. I loved developing black and white photos in the dark room. I wish I could still, there is something so authentic about it. Anyways, my friend Savanah came to town this week and we did a photoshoot of our own and it brought back so many memories! She is the one here with the curly curly hair. I will post pictures really soon. There is a lot so I will have to split them into parts.

Buon Befana! (or Florence is not Los Angeles)

Last Thursday was the last day of Christmas, or, in Italy, il dia della befana! (The day of the witch) This is the day that the good little boys and girls get candy from the witch and the naughty ones get coal. Similar to the American Santa Claus I suppose.

The city has kept all of its holiday lights up until this point and now they are being taken down. The first and second pictures are of the Ponte Vecchio and the lights on it. So pretty! I love how they cover the city in lights and giant Christmas trees.

It's really cold and wet here. Hence the awesome moccasin inspired Sorel boots that I photo'd in my room at the Continental. I'll put up pictures of the hotel, it's so very Audrey and sweet! Though now I am feeling more cozy in my little apartment in Santo Spirito.

I pulled out my Strategia boots today with crystal and stud detailed buckles. I just love the military color and texture of the distressed satin. Glad to be back in LA where we dont have to deal with omgitsfreezingturntheheateronnow weather :)

Recently I saw the movie Tangled, the storyline, pretty pictures, and songs were magical! I always love a good fairytale... I was completely inspired by Rapunzels painting so I decided to do one of my own on my wooden box that i'm now keeping my polaroids in. Then I did another painting on canvas, its supposed to be of me and Chad :). What do you think?!

Dress: Club Monaco, Steve Madden Caryssag Glitter heels

People always say how you spend your New Years Eve reflects the rest of the new year. If that's the case then looks like 2011 will be a good year! Last night I celebrated with friends, family & my boyfriend Chad. I took along my Polaroid 300 that Chad got me for Christmas and got some really cute snapshots! I bought a wooden box with a clasp lock from Michael's. I'm thinking about painting it pretty to keep my Polaroids in. I've never been much of a scrapbooker but maybe these will entice me to start! Gasp.ding.ding.ding. Lightbulb. New Years resolution!!!
